RAS-PI5
The Raspberry PI 5 is 2-3 times faster than the Rapberry PI4 and is designed for the best possible performance.
With a 64-bit quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 processor at 2.4GHz, Raspberry Pi 5 delivers two to three times stronger CPU performance compared to Raspberry Pi 4. Graphics performance from the 800MHz VideoCore VII GPU; dual 4Kp60 screen output via HDMI and advanced camera support from the newly designed Raspberry Pi Image Signal Processor, provide smooth operation for consumers and new capabilities for industry. .
The RP1 “southbridge” provides most of the I/O capabilities for the Raspberry Pi 5, and zorgy for expanded functionality.
Total USB bandwidth has more than doubled, resulting in faster transfer rates; the dedicated two-lane 1Gbps MIPI camera and display interfaces present on earlier models have been replaced with a pair of four-lane 1.5 Gbps MIPI transceivers, tripling total bandwidth and supporting any combination of up to two cameras or displays.
Peak SD card performance has been doubled thanks to support for SDR104 high-speed mode; and for the first time, the platform has a single-lane PCI Express 2.0 interface, providing support for high-bandwidth peripherals.
